PAW PAW — Sheriff deputies found a methamphetamine lab inside a car and arrested two men already on probation for meth-related crimes after making a traffic stop early Monday morning in downtown Paw Paw, the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office said.A 26-year-old Paw Paw man and 27-year-old man from Lawton were arrested for allegedly operating and maintaining a meth lab and possession of meth at around 12:50 a.m. Monday on Kalamazoo Street and Harry L. Bush Boulevard, just blocks from the sheriff’s office, according to a news release. Their names were withheld pending their arraignments.
Deputies stopped the car after observing several traffic violations, the sheriff’s office said. A police dog detected the smell of drugs and a search of the vehicle revealed the meth lab, baggie of meth and drug paraphernalia, the news release said.
