ALLEGAN — A man and woman from Kalamazoo were arraigned Tuesday afternoon on murder charges in connection with the death last month of a 25-year-old South Haven-area man, police said.

Alison Lane Martin, 23, and Justin Andrew Terpstra, 24, are each charged with open murder and conspiracy to commit murder, according to the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office.
The arrests come less than a month after sheriff’s investigators found the burned body of Brandon David Silverlight near his burned vehicle in the 400 block of 74th Street in Casco Township.
Silverlight was a junior at Western Michigan University enrolled part-time in the music education program, school officials have said.
